A quick orientation to help you show up ready for the water.

Getting Here

What’s Provided

Fishing gear, bait, ice and cooler space, and a Transport Canada certified vessel with a marine toilet and on-board barbecue. After fishing, we clean and bag your catch for easy, clean transport home.

What To Bring

02 FAQ

Common questions.

Not seeing your question? Give us a call — we’d rather talk it through.

Do I need a fishing licence?

Yes. Everyone who wishes to fish must have a valid DFO Tidal Waters Sport Fishing Licence (Pacific Region), available online or at local tackle shops in 1-day, 3-day and annual options. Anglers under 16 still need a (free) licence. Purchase salmon stamps as well if you wish to retain any salmon.

How many people can come on a trip?

Fishing charters are priced for up to 4 guests, with the option to add guests up to a maximum of 6 per trip (additional guest fees apply). Our wildlife tours run for up to 8 guests.

What's included in the price?

Your guided charter includes fishing gear, bait, ice and cooler space, and fish cleaning and bagging. Not included: your fishing licence and salmon stamps, food and drinks, and gratuities.

What if the weather is bad?

Conditions on the water change quickly. Our captains make safety-first decisions about heading out. Contact us about how we handle weather and rescheduling for your specific trip.

Are the trips good for families?

Our inside-water salmon charters and wildlife tours run on calmer, protected water and are a great option for families with children, the elderly, and those prone to motion sickness. The rugged west-coast multi-day packages involve large swells and are not recommended for those groups.

Can I keep my catch, and can I bring drinks?

Yes — within regulations and limits, your guide will clean and bag your catch. You're welcome to bring snacks and your favourite drinks (no glass bottles, please) — there's ice, cooler space and a barbecue on board. Please drink responsibly.

When is the best time to fish, or to see wildlife?

Feeder Chinook are available year-round on the inside, with peak Chinook from mid-July to mid-September. Humpback whales are sighted almost daily in summer and orca are common. Prime grizzly bear viewing on the inlet tours runs April 15–June 15 and August 15–October 15.
